The scientific symposium concludes the research and restoration project of the Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts) on the furniture collection of the ebenist Jean-Pierre Latz. Accompanying the special exhibition "Fait à Paris: Furniture Creations by Jean-Pierre Latz at the Dresden Court", the symposium that will be held from November 17th to 19th 2024 in Dresden invites participants to exchange and discuss the research results.
The conference will present and contextualize the results of the research project, along with workshop reports on various restorations. In addition to the conservators and art historians involved in the project, international experts will provide further insights into the collection from various perspectives.
The lectures will be held in German, French and Italian, pre-translated and subtitled online in English.
The conference will take place in presence in the Festsaal of the Stadtmuseum (Wilsdruffer Str. 2, 01067 Dresden).

(prices include admission to the exhibition “Fait à Paris” in the State Apartment of the Residenzschloss from 17.11. at 10 am to 19.11. at 6 pm as well as drinks during the breaks and two small lunches. Please note that the Residenzschloss is closed on Tuesday, November 18.)
