Like every year, the museum will present a design position from one of the eastern neighbouring countries from late summer onwards. In Gosia (*1982) and Tomek (*1976) Rygalik, museum director Tulga Beyerle has succeeded in bringing on board an internationally renowned designer duo from Poland for the exhibition “Creative Collisions. Studio Rygalik and Young Creative People”, to be held from 3 September to 1 November.
The project objectives extend beyond a conventional exhibition of design objects. Envisaged as a “work in progress” show, it will involve Dresden university students, design enthusiasts and refugees newly arrived in the city collaborating with “Studio Rygalik”. The joint work will be based on the ideas, experiences and stories that the people involved wish to tell with their pieces. “It’s about the people and their stories,” said Tomek Rygalik, summing up the concept.
