Amor Búcaro. Black Ceramics by Linde Burkhardt

Artist and designer Linde Burkhardt creates installations evoking the fascination of Portugal, which inspired these works. Originally, the Búcaro technique was applied to plain utility items. Linde Burkhardt presents some of these traditional types of hollowware placed next to fantasy-inspired reinterpretations in which she endeavours to capture the country’s aura.

Module Text with Image

Linde Burkhardt calls her black ceramics a “sculptural diary”. We might see them quasi as a poetic diary. In an interplay with pedestals sensitively attuned to the objects she creates installations evoking the fascination of Portugal, which inspired these works. The black ceramics were all made in the rural region of Tondela-Molelos in Portugal.
